Established in 2017After instructing and influencing the skills and self-reliance of hundreds of drivers, Justin Boliver and Mark Bohan took their expertise and began the ambitious journey with Test Drive, LLC.

Our GoalTest Drive's mission is to provide drivers with a superior training program and better prepare them for open road driving on their own. Test Drive promises to build positive relationships with the learner and to accommodate their needs and schedules as much as possible.

Our Team
Mark Bohan
|
|
Mr. Bohan has been the off campus teacher for the last 4 years. He has taught Drivers Education for 30 years and enjoys teaching students a subject that directly relates to student's lives immediately. He is a teacher and coach and has been in the Marshalltown district since 1996.

Mr. Gary Mertens
Mr. Mertens has worked as a student interventionist and behind the wheel instructor. He is in his 25th year of teaching driver's education and enjoys having the opportunity to positively impact our student's lives. Mr. Mertens brings with him a wealth of experiences to our program. He was a bus driver in downtown Chicago, is bilingual, and enjoys the fact that he is making a difference.
Mrs. Shirley Faircloth
Mrs. Faircloth has worked in the Juvenile Justice system over 30 years. She has offered Behind the Wheel instruction both publicly and privately for a number of years. She enjoys teaching students a skill that they will be able to use throughout their lives. It is rewarding to be able to teach the basics of driving which hopefully will help build a foundation of safe driving habits for years to come.
Mr. Tim Faircloth
Mr. Faircloth is a retired deputy sheriff, range instructor and has offered behind the wheel instruction both publicly and privately. He has been involved in the public school system in Marshalltown as well as other area school districts, and currently coaches football and tennis at Marshalltown High School. He enjoys the challenge of teaching drivers education. Having each student not only improve their driving skills, but to have them understand the responsibility to be safe, courteous drivers once they get their license is what Mr. Faircloth strives for.
Mr. Chris Jones
Mr. Jones comes to Test Drive as a Behind-the-Wheel Instructor with over 20 years of experience in law enforcement. His focus is to engage students, build confidence and share examples of how the principles learned during each class session may apply to everyday life on the road. Mr. Jones strives to equip students with the ability to anticipate, avoid and mitigate concerns commonly experienced by teen drivers.
Mr. Tim Holmgren
Mr. Holmgren has been in the Marshalltown School District since 2003. He has taught Drivers Education 5 years and enjoys teaching students working with students outside of the school setting. He likes the teaching a subject that directly relates to student's lives immediately. He has been a classroom teacher, principal and coach in the Marshalltown Community School District.
Mr. Steve Hoffman
Mr. Hoffman comes to Test Drive as a Behind-the-Wheel Instructor with over 25 years of experience in law enforcement. He has always enjoyed working with people of all ages and believes our new drivers need to be instructed all road and right of way rules, instead of merely "staying out of the ditches."
Mr. Alex Abbe
Mr. Abbe teaches the classroom portion of the course. He is an incredible classroom teacher who integrates situations and cutting edge technology into his presentations. He is in his 10th year teaching and loves the interaction with students driver's education has brought to him. "I love to make students think about the driving task in ways they have never done before."
Mrs. Casey Moberly
Mrs. Moberly has been a PE teacher in the Marshalltown School District since 2010. She loves interacting with students in a different way and loves to see the improvement from the 1st drive to the last. In addition to teaching, she has been also been a lead teacher and coached for many years.
